This is Where the Cards have Fallen and this has been the Hand you have been Dealt. You have arrived at a realm where a simple card game is so much more. In this world, Monsters are denizens of the world and many of the images you see on those cards have sprung to life. The world you previously knew whether some place where there were Champions who played the game for glory or where a War was fault over Ancient Egyptian secrets, all of it is only a myth engraved into pieces of thin sheets of paper. Here, in this mythical realm, you are a victim of circumstance and a soldier of the Divine. Perhaps you are even an incarnate of the creatures here? Either way, you belong to this world now. What will you do? Will you take the cards and sit idly by with this hand or will you use it to Change your Destiny?

Prologue: Stardust

The Winged Dragon of Ra has always been said to be the most distrustful of the realm’s three deities. As the sovereign of a Republic of Knowledge and Wisdom; she is studious, cunning, and every quiet with her deceptions until she wishes to bring her vision into fruition. The Duelist Academia is her most beautiful blossom from her garden of madness. She now has visited Duelist Academia to hold a formal assembly. Until the day of that assembly, she walks through the halls and grounds gracing the student body with her presence. What does she have planned? What secrets will the deity of the Wise Republic whisper into your ear?

The world knows evolution has leaped forward, knows that mutants exist. Years have passed since Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr created the X-Men and the Brotherhood, both in hopes of helping mutant kind, but with vastly different approaches. Xavier and Lehnsherr have since disappeared among the controversies regarding mutants and their place in the world. The X-Men are struggling to stand firm in their place in a world that does not know what to do with their kind. With more mutants rising from the shadows with surging powers, what side will they choose?
